I am a Christian. For me that means I am saved through my faith in the sacrifice of Jesus, which has reconciled me to the Father. What should that look like to other people? It looks like love. I was told to love the Lord with all my heart and with all my soul and with all my mind, and to love my neighbor as myself. Christ Himself said that, when questioned about which was the most important commandment. He's the one who put loving God and loving my neighbor on the same plane. Christ Himself lived this commandment, loving saints and sinners with no distinction. Since Jesus is our role model for the Christian life, I am expected to love like Him. . . .WHAAAAT!?!?!?! Loving saints is pretty easy, but loving sinners?
Sin is between the sinner and God. Let them handle it. God told me to love my neighbor. That's my task, and some days I am better at it than others. Please be patient with me when I fail, I have a long way to go before I can say that I've got it.
